Leazes Park Lake

Leazes Park Lake is where it all began for the LPAA. This mixed fishery is based in the heart of Newcastle City Centre. The water contains roach, tench, bream, gudgeon and carp some of which have breeched the 20lb barrier.

Day tickets are available for Leazes from all local tackle shops (Bagnal and Kirkwood, Frasers Angling, ID Tackle) and must be bought before fishing. Leazes is accessible for those with limited mobility but parking is controlled by a permit system and is available to members only.

Forester's Pond

The LPAA also has a small lake in Durham known as Forrester's Pond. This lake offers, amongst other species, specimen perch to over 1Lb. The lake is a real "bolt hole" and offers peace, tranquillity and the chance to catch some unknown monsters.

Other TAA Waters (Tyne Anglers Alliance)

Leazes Park Angling Association is proud to affiliate to the Tyne Anglers Alliance. The TAA brings together angling clubs from across the region to share support and advice and to give a unified voice for coarse angling in the North East.

Our affiliation to the TAA also allows our members to fish TAA waters. Below is a breif outline of the TAA waters members can fish. It should be remembered though that whilst fishing any TAA water anglers must carry their LPAA membership book.
